How is Unhinted different from generic AI chat tools?
Generic AI models don't follow Hong Kong talking points. You have to brief them on your brand, paste news, and prompt for Cantonese tone from scratch every time, often resulting in translated phrasing. Unhinted continuously tracks local trends, remembers your product selling points, and proposes tailored angles with natural Cantonese copy.
Will it ever auto-publish to Instagram without my approval?
Never. Unhinted requires explicit human confirmation. The AI drafts angles and copy, while you review and edit. Even if you say “looks good” in chat, nothing publishes to Instagram until you explicitly click “Confirm”.
Which social platforms are supported?
Today, Unhinted focuses specifically on Instagram (captions, hashtags, and media preview).
How do I self-host, and is it free?
Unhinted is open source under the MIT license and completely free on GitHub. You can spin it up with a single Docker Compose file on your own machine or server, keeping your data entirely within your own infrastructure.
